PREPARE FOR THE FIGHT OF YOUR LIFE!

DOCTORS AND PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANIES HAVE STRUCK A DEAL!

DOCTORS DON’T ASK….PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANIES DON’T TELL!!

Sweet Deal for the Doctors and Pharmaceutical Companies…a NIGHTMARE FOR

YOU. You are the patient, who has a problem from mesh, Doctor says it’s not so.

You become invisible…doctor after doctor after doctor denies it’s the mesh, saying

they never had a problem with mesh. “All my mesh surgeries are perfect. Must be

something wrong with you…or your mind. Here take this prescription for Morphine.”

It must be a script…the answer is always the same no matter who your doctor is, or

more likely, was. You know you are never going back to that quack.

You are Eve and have just eaten Satan’s apple. You have just eaten the forbidden

fruit, “medical mesh.” Except the tree of knowledge of mesh is only evil…there’s no

good side to it! You’re done….forget your life as you knew it! You become invisible.

You become the victim of Frankenstein doctors who remove parts of you, cut your

nerves, disfigure and mutilate you inside, all the while telling you they will stop the pain.

Yeah right!! You become the walking wounded.
AND INVISIBLE!

AND THE DEAL WORKS….THEY DON’T GET SUED!

DON’T ASK! DON’T TELL!

WORKS FOR THE DOCTORS AND THE PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANIES…

BUT FORGET YOU!

Saw your blog. Interesting. I had this procedure in 2001 and to date ( 2006) so far no bad effects although I have a close friend who was not so fortunate, and has had a rather uncomfortable few months following this procedure. they now say it is tvt rejection !
How is the court case going? you need answers to your questions from the manufacturers and the doctors and proper medical care, not incompetence. It's not just in USA, I'm in UK and I'm sure its almost endemic in the world. The 1% with complications of the procedure deserve better care.
Keep goimg even when it get's rough, because you need proper closure from this experience.

What planet did you just get off of? What are you doing out here in cyberspace?

Or the better question, what pharmaceutical company do you work for?

1% of complications...where did you get that lovely figure?

It is a 30-40% complication rate for all bladder suspension mesh procedures. I have the sworn deposition of a doctor who is a paid consultant to Ethicon/Gynecare to prove it.

Deserve better care? The complications are IRREVERSIBLE. How about removing all Petrobleum Based Synthetic Surgical Meshes from the marketplace so no one else is harmed?

And don't tell me to "keep going even when it's rough, because you need proper closure from this experience." What turnip truck did you just fall off of?

SURGICAL MESH WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE MARKETPLACE SO THAT IT NEVER HARMS ANYONE AGAIN...

By the way, it's 2008, not 2006.

I had the surgery 3 years ago and last month had my first corrective surgery. Yesterday, I found out that the less invasive corrective procedure did not work, so I must now reschedule surgery to have more of the mesh removed. The doctor who performed my surgery in California has a surgery mill. He is highly respected in our community and attorneys won't even touch my case. This whole thing has been a nightmare and like most women, I was told it was a simple procedure. Now I can barely sit at my desk because the mesh is ripping through my flesh.

Thanks for your blog Lana. Do you have a case pending? Would love any advice you might have. I found one case that was turned down by the Supreme Court citing that a new injury did not occur when the mesh migrated. The statute of limitations was not met because the injury date went back to the date of the original surgery. What a system!

Hi Jeanie,

I would really like to know the doctors name with the surgery mill is so we could warn other women. And also the citation for that lawsuit.

Please join my Medical Mesh Yahoo Group: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/medicalmesh.

We work together to get all petroleum-based synthetic surgical meshes removed from the marketplace.

We help each other to find good doctors.

Most important we support each other to get our health back...

I look forward to hearing from you...peace and blessings, Lana

I had this procedure several years ago. The 1st year or so, great! Then, the infections started. 3 1/2 years incessant infections and seven doctors later the urologist I have BEEN seen ing has FINALLY said it MIGHT be that the sling is TOO tight. (I have asked EVERY doctor this question, and all have said, "No.") On my visit to the doctor today for yet another infection the family doctor agreed! How amazing is this?

Both doctors have advised strenuosly AGAINST having the sling removed.

So I am now sentenced to a life of Macrodantin (because of so many other drug allergies) which has potentially fatal side effects if used too long.

Lawsuit? HELL YES. SIGN ME UP.
